More UDM Soccer
The game on Sunday(9-21-08) was a brutal one. The game started out aggressive and only got worse. By game's end, it had become vicious. The referee did not take control from the first offense and so it quickly went downhill, even to the point of Xavier players, shouting at the referee that he should read the rulebook and making obscene gestures to the sideline judge, which resulted in only a yellow card. Players from both sides were aggressively slide tackling, shoving, and tugging. As proof of the tugging, ask player#6, whose jersey was torn by a Xavier forward. The game took place between the University of Detroit Mercy Titans and Xavier "whatevers". UDM took a well-deserved win, 3-2 in double overtime.
