UDM Soccer

Titans played another brutal game, losing to #7, UIC. Titans had less fouls overall-UDM with nine, but recieved five of the six cards handed out during the game. Shots taken were relatively even, though, UIC had a 6-2 advantage on corner kicks. It would be nice to actually see the Titans play a game-win or lose-as a real team.

Pearls Before Swine

Has anyone read this comic? It is the funniest thing ever! I love Zebra and the Crocs. The things that they do to lure Zebra or as the Crocs say "Zeeba" in are hilarious! At the Detroit Free Press website you can see Stephan Pastis's latest work of art or go to www.comics.com/comics/pearls/. I can draw the Pearls characters, but Rat looks kind of funny. My favorite character to draw is Zebra, one because he is pretty easy to draw and two because his is my favorite.

UDM Soccer Yet Again

UDM traveled to Chicago for a Friday(9-24-08) night game against Loyola. The final score was 2-1, UDM coming out on top. Sam Seppo scored the game winning goal, assisted by the goal keeper, Bryan Kloss, who took the goal kick in the 62nd minute, to be received by Sam, who burned the defenders and sniped on in from the 18yd line. After reviewing the UDM website article on the game, UDM made only two shots on the Loyola net, while UDM's goalkeeper was credited with 11 saves and only let in one. UDM's goalkeeper said the team appears to be coming together-with only 2 shots on goal?

More UDM Soccer

The game on Sunday(9-21-08) was a brutal one. The game started out aggressive and only got worse. By game's end, it had become vicious. The referee did not take control from the first offense and so it quickly went downhill, even to the point of Xavier players, shouting at the referee that he should read the rulebook and making obscene gestures to the sideline judge, which resulted in only a yellow card. Players from both sides were aggressively slide tackling, shoving, and tugging. As proof of the tugging, ask player#6, whose jersey was torn by a Xavier forward. The game took place between the University of Detroit Mercy Titans and Xavier "whatevers". UDM took a well-deserved win, 3-2 in double overtime.

UDM Soccer

Saturday(9/20/08), University of Detroit Mercy had a soccer game against University of Michigan. The game was a blowout, but you have to give UofDM some credit, they did score one goal. The final score came to UofM 5-UofDM 1. three of Michigan's goals were scored by the same person, achieving one of the few hattricks of Michigan history. Simon Zahra of UofDM scored their only goal, sniping it in from beyond the 18 yard line. Had my cousin been in net, well, let's just say the score wouldn't have been so high. They have another game Sunday(9/21/08) against Xavier. Hopefully it won't be a repeat of the UofM game. I'm hoping that he will get some playing time since the other two keepers had such a disasterous game. It's frustrating to know how talented he is and to not see him play. It's hard to imagine what the coaches are thinking not puting him in. And happy birthday to him, too!

I have arrived.

Wow, this is kind of wierd. I've never gone on a blog before. What to write about, I don't know. Alright how about this for starters. I like the band Queen. I think that they are the greatest. I like all different kinds of music-classics to the new stuff. I like paintball eventhough i have never played before (its on my list of things to do). Airsoft anyone? Most fun ever! I'll send more when i think of stuff.
